Resource for Reducing Inflammation and Pain with Diet and Nutritional Supplementation

The deflame.com website was brought to my attention. Grains are continuously being exposed as THE CULPRIT to many of today’s degenerative diseases.
I’ve mentioned inflammation before in the scheme of things in the stages of disease as defined by Natural Hygiene: Enervation – Toxicosis – Irritation – Inflammation – Induration – Cancer.

If you have noticed from the eczema / psoriasis cure protocols I recommend eliminating nightshades and grains. These items are inflammation causing junk foods. These were never meant to be human staple foods. They may feed you in times of war, crisis or starvation, but as staple foods they are irritating and inflammatory.

Raw fruits and some raw animal foods (eggs yolks / fish) are the most natural, safest, cleanest, most adapted to staple foods of humans.

Your resource for reducing inflammation and pain with diet and nutritional supplementation

Most of us think about inflammation in the context of an acute injury in which swelling takes place. While this relationship is true, the most important inflammation-issue is diet. Scientific research has demonstrated that most diseases that plague modern man are caused by diet-induced chronic inflammation.

Here is a partial list of conditions that are driven by diet-induced inflammation: aches and pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, acne, aging, syndrome X, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, stroke, Alzhemier’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, psoriasis, eczema, and multiple sclerosis. Even feeling tired and unwell is promoted by inflammation. The main lifestyle factors that cause chronic inflammation include a poor diet, stress, and sedentary living.
Find out if your nutrition and diet is putting you in a chronic state of pain and disability.

Dietary factors are perhaps the key cause of chronic inflammation. That is because a pro-inflammatory diet can create inflammation even in those who are active, able to maintain normal weight, and who can control their stress levels. Thus, diet is the key link for increasing or decreasing inflammation. Numerous studies are being published every month that demonstrate how we can reduce inflammation with nutrition.

Pretty useful website. Download their PDF guide. I think their main consultant is Mr. Cordain of Paleo Diet fame.

Deflame.com hits hard at grains in their Deflaming guidelines:

“Many find it surprising that grains have been consumed for only a short period of time during man’s sojourn on earth. Our genetic code is not dissimilar from the human-like mammals that inhabited the earth for some 2 million years. In other words, for the 1,990,000 years that human-like mammals have populated the earth, the following foods were never consumed: grains, pasta, cereal, soy, beans, dairy, refined sugar, partially hydrogenated fats, and seed oils, such as corn, safflower, cottonseed, sun-flower, peanut, canola, and soybean oil.

Humans are genetically adapted to eat fruits, vegetables, fish, fowl, meat, and small amounts of raw nuts. Consider also that there are no chronic diseases caused by eating these foods. No matter what disease you may suffer from, none of these foods must be eliminated from the diet. The same cannot be said for grains in particular. In a nutshell, grains contain several potentially problematic substances, such as gluten, lectin, and phytates, and they promote an inflammatory acidic pH, and disrupt proper blood sugar regulation.”

I’d like to echo for the nth time that you must stop eating grains. Grains are even more problematic than cooked meats. In fact, it is grains you should suspect and eliminate first, then animal foods. You think you have leaky gut? Stop eating grains and nightshades!

Once your leaky gut is healed you can consume raw animal food, then some cooked animal food for socializing. But I hope you never see grains as staple food ever again. Grains must be relegated to their proper place: storable food, emergency food. Today I look at grains as junk food.
