Yesterday I sinned by using the chemical insecticide Malathion outside the home. Today is the day we sprayed the inside of the house… but this time this morning my sister in law and my wife called me to say we need something non-toxic. Good thing last night I blogged and made some research and saw the bit about Eucalyptus Oil, Clove oil and Oregano oil. The majority component I needed was eucalyptus oil. Luckily, eucalyptus oil was available at the local drug store. Not cheap, but affordable at 300 pesos for a 120 ml bottle of eucalyptus oil. [Read more…]

Forgive me for I have sinned.  Due to lack of knowledge in home and garden parasite controls and the urgent need to get rid of parasite infestation of suspected chicken mites, me and my driver drove to the very near poultry supply store and bought cheap and common pesticides / insecticides.  We bought “Wash Out” for chicken ticks and Malathion for a host of other insect pests.  Our strategy was as follows: [Read more…]

I had thought that the vacation we did up in the mountains of Sagada may have been the final straw to help cure our child with eczema.  He was progressing absolutely well even with partly eating cooked meat during the vacation.  But when we got back to Manila in his skin began getting worse again.  He started feeling pain again while bathing.  Even when I put him on an absolutely raw paleo diet.  I would have to guess that his internal organs may have already healed much and we are looking at external causes.  And this is supported by the fact that I started having itch rashes problems on my limbs, arms, legs, feet.  Even our driver neighbor had the same rashes.  My visiting sister in law who was pregnant had a tummy and chest full of bites.  Even her young less than 2 year old toddler had a few bites in his arms.
